The Participants

PS: If you have not read the previous post about this topic, read this first.

There were fourteen participants during the time. Those were Hero, Fanny, Hendry, Jeffrey, Reinaldy, Malcolm, Erin, Feby, Michael, Sumario, Harry, Alif, Julian and me. If you look closely at those names, there were only three young ladies beside the other eleven handsome boys instead. And yes, that was awesome :p.

Several interesting moments were happened during the trip and I will describe it one by one below. Let us check it out:

- Michael spent most of time with Hendry while sleeping either in bus or in the villa. Consider what that means by yourself.

- Harry was a really quiet person at the beginning, but an extremely talk-active person at the end. He often told us about the story while having a leadership training about a year ago. The most interesting and funniest story for me was about his close friend, Bob, who was about to be left behind due to the vehicle departed. Having realized that Bob was not in the vehicle yet, he immediately called him to ask his current position. But after all, it was only leading to an irony when Bob said that he was eating up his kwetiaw (a thick noodle) —”.

- While we were playing a strange game at the garden, Hero was fallen off and his right leg was badly injured. Somebody was taking the picture of it (not to help but to take a picture, eh?) and when I looked at it once more, I said “yeah. that’s really bad”. Shortly after that accident, we then decided not to continue the game but to visit a hidden waterfall located in the bottom of the mountain. In the end, another accident was happened but this time it was Julian’s turn to be injured on his leg. Although not badly injured like Hero did, he was really proud of it (?!?) since its shape was more like Reebok’s logo. And I said to him, “OMG” 5 times.

- When at Pacific Mall in Tegal, Reinaldy and me were looking at a board with “Beli satu gratis satu” written on it. I then told Reinaldy that we actually could purchase the shoes without have to pay at all. How come? Let say I buy one myself then I get another for free, and I give that free one to you. With you do the same like me (buy one and give the free one to me), we are actually having a pair shoes without have to pay since we receive the free one from the other. Confused? Read it over.

- Feby and Hero could do acrobatic moves. I will give the pictures later.

- Before leaving Tegal behind, we spent our little time visiting Pacific Mall. Not long after Hendry purchased a T-Shirt for himself, Sumario was happened to be sleeping while we were having a conversation about Ancient China military wars and history. Shortly, I told them to leave the place immediately to go to the upstair floor while giving Sumario a short missed call to make him realize that no body was left with him. While Sumario was trying to make a call to Hendry, I would then suggest him to turn the phone off making the situation to be more panic than ever and it was :p.

Much more interesting stories can be read on each section on my story. Feel free to leave any comments.

A Trip to Guci, Central Java

Posted in Journal on January 6, 2009 by dplt

Several days ago, I was on a trip to Guci which is located in Central Java from 2nd to 4th January. The trip was organized by HIMTI and there were fourteen participants during the moment. We went there by bus for about 6 hours with another van for about 1 hour. After 7 hours sitting and sitting, we finally made it. The small gate was half-open and we were about to enter to the villa. Could not wait more to start the day.

The villa is not very big, but enough for us. There are only 2 rooms located on the second floor, one bath room on each floor and a living room on the first floor. The main doors are located in the front and back of the villa. Aside of it, there is a pond with hot water that comes from the mountains. Guci is happened to be a famous tourism object since it is known to contain lots of hot springs. Although the temperature was quite cold, the water is still very hot. It was 3 am already when we arrived at the place, and we finally called it a day not long after the clock told us about it.

Although most of the time I spent was only for playing cards, there was a lot of beautiful view that I could take for photo shoots. I don’t have any camera myself, so I decided to borrow Erin’s and Feby’s digicam to capture those landscapes. Big thanks are given to both. The most challenging moment was probably while we were about to go back to Jakarta, after the moment while we were trying to find a way home from the waterfall. There were many problems occurred during the time, but we were always happy all the time like the old times.

I would like to thank all of you who participated the event, HIMTI Jalan-Jalan, especially to Hero for all preparation that he made for this journey. It was absolutely fun, and I am looking forward to find another.

I split the story into several parts to make it easier to read. I hope you don’t mind to spent few minutes to read it.
