Shake O’ Shake

I don’t remember correctly when does this exactly happen but surely it’s about 10 minutes before an earthquake was happened at Tasikmalaya measuring 7.6 Richter scale. It’s my body starting to shake on both my legs for about 5-10 seconds. I feel it nearly every two or three days, and normally between 3-4 pm.

The moment when I took it seriously is when the earthquake was happening. I didn’t really care about it much before, since I thought it’s just a normal symptom of fatigue like most people had. Ten minutes before the quake came, I felt it for the very first time. Don’t really care much, because I was very busy that time. Five minutes later, I felt it again. Both my legs were shaking like I had done exercises or something. Okay, it got my attention this time. I stood up for a while, looking at both my legs, and everything was normal. People around me were also extraordinary normal. So what could I say about earthquake? Not at all. Everything was fine, it’s just me. At least that was on my mind.

About five minutes after the second, here came the third. But this time, it was somehow much stronger than usual. I wonder why this was. It was quite a strong shake (or I might say quake if everyone felt it the same). Oh yeah, it’s just me who felt it. That’s why I had never thought that it’s an earthquake. Not after my friend suddenly screamed, “Guys, it’s an earthquake isn’t it?”. Got no more question this time, I suddenly ran to the nearest door and found my way through the emergency exit. This was the very first time I’ve got experience with earthquake inside a building. I forgot to tell you, my office is on the 13th floor. And that was a problem because we had got a long way to go to the ground floor.

Since that time, every time both my legs are starting to shake, I am starting to be nervous. I mean, I am afraid for another earthquake. I’ve got some kind of phobia or something, dunno what it is called for sure. But one thing I know for sure, I hate earthquake very much. It makes me lost my body balance which means I can not do anything at all to save my butt.

Honestly, I have a problem while I am nervous. The reaction is the same, shaking legs. Although it’s not very visible to others, I feel so uncomfortable with that. And normally that happens when I am under stress maybe for hours, days or weeks. And when I am under a lot of stress, mostly I will get health problems either low-physical-condition or low-blood-pressure. The first one can be handled through several hours of some rest. Not really a major problem. Conversely, the second one is my unfavored one.

Low blood pressure (LBP) means that your blood is not flowing on the normal speed as most people have. For that reason, you will feel your body not well (not delicious; delicious is for food) and certainly you are extremely need some rest. And the bad thing is that even you’ve got some rest, you still feel need more. Feeling more unwell, need more sleep and, finally, you’re becoming more like koalas :P . Koalas normally sleep for about 16 – 18 hours a day due to their low metabolism. Every time I’ve got LBP, the vertigo will come unnoticed. I mean they come altogether. I also hate vertigo, just making me to be a more useless man who can not do anything at all. Even standing by my self.

I am the boy-who-lived from LBP since childhood. Or if we might say, I’ve got a natural LBP. For that reason, I have never ever participated in any blood donation event. I’ve always got too low pressure which is around 110/75. That’s normal for me, but maybe not for you. But when I am under stress, it can go for 100/70 or 100/65. Painful isn’t it?

There are several foods you can take if you’ve got an LBP like me. People say that I should take more ‘durians’ or ‘kambings’. Well, I don’t like both. Why? First of all, I am a humble vegetarian. Secondly, I don’t like durian’s offensive smell. I hate it. If you like it, take it and ate it. Should be no more ache. That’s what they say.
